The Video Productions Manager will be a member of the New Media desk and work closely with the New Media manager to brainstorm, film, and edit film projects for The California Aggie.
Brainstorm and pitch film project ideas to New Media manager (ideally involving different desks, different ASUCD units for collaboration, and different campus or city events).
Aim is to maximize The California Aggie presence online and present interesting and professional content for our followers to consume.
Work actively with desk editors to come up with desk-specific video ideas
Alternating filming and editing: coordinating filming hours with New Media manager for that week and then editing filmed content the next week.
Attending weekly Storyboard meetings
Attending weekly Desk meetings
As part of your employment, you are required to subscribe to the ASUCD newsletter.
Experience and knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and graphic design
Experience in photography and film
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of standards and ethics of journalism
Knowledge of Aggie Code of Ethics
Ability to work well under pressure and deal with adversity and stress
Positive attitude and sense of humor
