Purpose

Responsible for assisting the Human Resources Manager in retention and recruitment events, scheduling, mandatory meetings, special projects, and administrative tasks.

Duties

  1. Assistant to the Human Resources Manager on various projects.

    1. Assist the Human Resources Manager and Retention Coordinator in planning employee events and activities such as Employee Appreciation week, and other group activities.

    2. Assist the Human Resources manager and Recruitment Coordinator in promoting hiring through the use of flyers, tabling, and other media.

    3. Assist the Human Resources Manager on special projects as the need arises.

  2. Provide Support for Hiring Processes

    1. Collect and deliver applications to various hiring managers

    2. Schedule Interviews for applicants

    3. Attend interviews as necessary to receive applicants in the waiting room
    4. Contact applicants before and after their interviews with on-boarding instructions
    5. Conduct on-boarding procedures with new employees
  3. Maintain Employee Mail Boxes

    1. Keep each box up to date with current employee numbers each quarter

    2. Stock each box with items for employees as needed

  4. Attend HR Department Weekly Meeting

    1. Typically a one hour commitment that is scheduled around class schedules

  5. Assist in Maintaining Employee Records and Files
    1. Organize Hiring Documents

  6. Collect and Organize Information for a Monthly Company Newsletter

    1. Meet deadlines and contact various departments for updates

  7. Hold Office Hours as Needed

    1. Meet with employees as needed to fill out HR-related paperwork
