Purpose
The International Undergraduate Students Committee (IUSC) is responsible for advocating for initiatives on campus that will
improve the awareness, understanding and advocacy of issues relating to international students on the UC Davis campus.
Duties
As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.
Our goal is to honor the diversity of international students on campus and advocate for many issues they face in terms of institutionalized, internalized, or systemic biases. We work to bridge the gap between national students, international Students, and ASUCD by planning projects,organizing events, and supporting initiatives that honor ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds. We aspire to voice the perspective of international students and encourage cross-cultural exchange, interactions and understanding.
Skills
-Lead the committee.
-Work with other committee members to organize events, workshops, etc.
-Check in with commissions, senators and student organization.
-Establish and maintain contact with various Organizations on campus.
-Participate in social events relating to internationality.
-Finish the required 4 hr/week.
-Hold office hours. (optional)
