Purpose

Work on a student-led team to develop and complete special projects dedicated to student housing. Responsibilities will vary as new projects arise.

Duties

As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Meet with other members of the executive office on a weekly basis, to discuss and implement special projects dedicated to student housing
  • Propose any relevant project ideas
  • Bring creative ideas and a willingness to work on a variety of housing projects.

Tasks may include but are not limited to: outreach to local property managers, web design, collaboration with other ASUCD units and student organizations, attending Davis city council meetings, and publicizing the work of the housing task force.

Skills

Creativity and flexibility; willingness to contribute to a variety of projects.

 

  1. Passion for advocacy on behalf of UC Davis students.

  2. Consistent communication with task force leaders about your availability and schedule.

  3. Comfort with virtual communication, ie with campus staff, property managers, or city council members is preferred.

  4. No experience with housing advocacy or politics is required.

  5. Prior experience with ASUCD is not required. Individuals of all majors, backgrounds, and interests are encouraged to apply.
