Work on a student-led team to increase diversity and inclusion within the association, via outreach to a diversity of student communities and other strategies to increase representation.

  1. Meet with the Diversity and Inclusion task force on a weekly basis, and propose any relevant project ideas.

  2. Identify and implement strategies to increase diversity and inclusion within ASUCD.

  3. Lead ASUCD’s outreach efforts to different student communities through meetings with RSOs, campus events, and social media. Make underrepresented groups aware of relevant opportunities in ASUCD.

  4. Identify the needs of different student communities and student employees, and ensure that such needs are being addressed by ASUCD.



  1. A passion for expanding the work of our student government; a willingness to contribute to a variety of projects.

  2. Strong work ethic.

  3. Strong understanding and passion for diversity and inclusion.

  4. Strong listening skills.

  5. Respect for and ability to empathize with those of different backgrounds.

  6. Proficiency with public speaking skills or graphic design skills preferred, but not required. 

  7. Event planning and management skills welcome.

  8. Consistent communication with task force leaders about your availability and schedule.

  9. Previous experience in ASUCD is not required; applicants of a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
