Purpose
The Chairperson of the Business and Finance Commission serves as the presiding officer of all B&F meetings, advises the ASUCD Senate in fiscal matters, oversees the allocation of all Senate reserves and annually makes recommendations for the allocation of funds.
Duties
As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.
- Leads weekly B&F meetings at a consistent time made public
- Keeps track of meeting minutes and ensures that copies are shared with SGAO
- Collaborates with other members of the Association regarding fiscal planning
- Advises on financial decisions and transactions within subordinate bodies
- Familiar with relevant sections of the ASUCD Bylaws and Constitution which pertain to fiscal spending
- Ensures that the B&F website is updated with accurate information
- Attends all interviews that require the B&F Chairperson’s presence & hiring vote
