Purpose

The Chairperson of the Business and Finance Commission serves as the presiding officer of all B&F meetings, advises the ASUCD Senate in fiscal matters, oversees the allocation of all Senate reserves and annually makes recommendations for the allocation of funds.

 

Duties

As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.

  • Leads weekly B&F meetings at a consistent time made public 
  • Keeps track of meeting minutes and ensures that copies are shared with SGAO
  • Collaborates with other members of the Association regarding fiscal planning
  • Advises on financial decisions and transactions within subordinate bodies
  • Familiar with relevant sections of the ASUCD Bylaws and Constitution which pertain to fiscal spending
  • Ensures that the B&F website is updated with accurate information
  • Attends all interviews that require the B&F Chairperson’s presence & hiring vote
