Assist the Executive Chief of Staff in daily activities ranging from task force leadership to event coordination to Executive Office staff organization.

  1. Meet with the Executive Chief of Staff on a biweekly basis.

  2. Propose any relevant project ideas to the Executive Office.

  3. Serve as a leader/point person for a group of 3-5 Executive task forces. These task forces may include, but are not limited to, Diversity and Inclusion, Sexual Assault Awareness and Advocacy, Disability Rights Advocacy, Affordable Housing Advocacy, FUN committee, and International Student Advocacy.

  4. Meet with at least 3 task forces on a weekly basis

  5. Assist with the scheduling of Executive Staff Meetings by coordinating calendars and working to accommodate the schedules of between 5 and 40 staff members. 

  6. Assist the Executive Chief of Staff with unforeseen tasks that arise on a daily basis, including but not limited to: communication with external actors such as city council or administration, leading meetings the Chief of Staff is unable to attend, and performing research tasks for the office.


  1. Creativity and flexibility; ability to contribute to a variety of projects being carried out by a diverse group of staffers.

  2. Strong work ethic and a passion for advocacy on behalf of UC Davis students.

  3. Strong time management skills.

  4. An ability to efficiently and effectively lead group meetings.

  5. Experience with project management preferred.

  6. Comfort with virtual communication over both email and zoom, ie with Executive Office Staffers, campus staff, and city council members.

  7. Previous experience in ASUCD is not required; applicants of a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
