Purpose

The ASUCD Associate Vice President of Recruitment (informally titled Associate Vice President of Communications - External) assists the Vice President in the operation of external communications. The AVP of Recruitment is responsible for aiding the Internal Vice President in the engagement of community members outside of ASUCD. The AVP of Recruitment may occasionally serve as the Vice President’s delegate in meetings with UC Davis administrators.

Duties

As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.

  • In consultation with ASUCD Creative Media, oversees all ASUCD correspondence on the following social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram & Twitter for the IVP office
  • Drafts social media content on a regular basis and achieves weekly goals to increase engagement
  • Establishes relationships with social media managers of clubs and other campus organizations and works to promote their events
  • Occasionally serves as a delegate for the Vice President or President during formal meetings with campus administration
  • Prepares “weekly briefings” for the Vice President regarding the status of external operations after coordinating with the Associate Vice President of Communication-Internal
