Purpose
In coordination with Pantry tema members, Shift Leads will support operations of onsite food distribution programs throughout COVID-19 through recording attendance, ensuring completion of tasks of volunteers on shift, and communicating issues and feedback to Pantry Staff.
Duties
As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.
- Sort, move, and process donations from various sources and partners.
- Help enforce COVID-19 guidelines among the team and partners.
- Set up and take down onsite food distribution events.
- Prepare inventory and items for onsite food distribution.
- Help maintain overall cleanliness of workplace in food storage areas.
Skills
- Passion for supporting campus food security efforts.
- Must be able to lift heavy and awkwardly-shaped objects.
- Display a positive attitude with patrons and other volunteers.
- Strong teamwork skills and consistent reliability.
- Required: attend team virtual training session prior to Winter Quarter 2021.
- Recommended: prior Pantry volunteer experience - shift leads will need to demonstrate independent decision-making and communicate effectively with team members and patrons as representatives of the Pantry.
