Deputy Chief of Staff will serve as an advisor to the president, IVP, and Chief of Staff. Deputy will also assist the Chief of Staff with running the Executive Office.

Represents the ASUCD Executive Office through several capacities, including but not limited to:


  • Leading project teams or task forces and preparing briefings for the ASUCD President, Internal Vice President, and Chief of Staff on the progress of the team

  • Collaborate on advocacy projects with the ASUCD President, Internal Vice President, and Chief of Staff

  • Meet with student organizations and campus administration to assess the needs of the student body

  • Help improve/ reform ASUCD policies and practices via legislation

  • Assist in the overall development of the ASUCD Executive Office through administrative and managerial tasks



  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic

  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative environment

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Leadership experience is not required but highly encouraged

  • Prior experience with ASUCD is not required but highly encouraged

  • Individuals of all majors, backgrounds, and interests are encouraged to apply
