Purpose
To work alongside Senator Kato as his legislation director, reading and drafting legislation pertaining to the ASUCD and student advocacy.
Duties
As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.
Responsibilities for Legislative Director include reviewing the minutes for weekly Senate meetings, attend weekly staff meetings, help write ASUCD legislation and give input on legislation that comes across the Senate table.
Skills
The two most important skills are a willingness to learn and a passion for advocacy! Good writing and critical thinking skills are also a plus but I highly implore you to apply for this position - it is a good learning opportunity and at best you'll get the position and at worst you'll have gained hands-on interview experience!
