Purpose

Serve as the primary staffer, advisor, and assistant to ASUCD Chief of Staff and other Executive Officers, including the ASUCD President and ASUCD Vice President.

Duties

As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.

Represents the ASUCD Executive Office through several capacities, including but not limited to:

  • Leading project teams or task forces and preparing briefings for the ASUCD President, Internal Vice President, and Chief of Staff on the progress of the team

  • Attend executive team meetings and staff meetings

  • Collaborate on advocacy projects with the ASUCD President, Internal Vice President, and Chief of Staff

  • Meet with student organizations and campus administration to assess the needs of the student body

  • Help improve or reform ASUCD policies and practices via legislation

  • Assist in the overall development and running of the ASUCD Executive Office through administrative and managerial tasks

Skills

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Leadership experience

  • Prior experience with ASUCD and knowledge of ASUCD

  • Willingness to learn and strong work ethic

  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative environment

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
