Purpose
The Chairperson of the Internal Affairs Commission serves as the presiding officer of all IAC meetings, leads the improvement of the ASUCD Bylaws and Constitution and aids in the long-range planning of the association.
Duties
As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.
- Leads weekly IAC meetings at a consistent time made public

Keeps track of meeting minutes and ensures that copies are shared with SGAO

Collaborates with other members of the Association regarding long-term planning & legislative drafting

Ensures that independent projects of commissioners are progressing and that tasks of commissioners are fairly distributed

Ensures that the IAC website is updated with accurate information

Provides legislative recommendations at Senate meetings for each bill that IAC reviews

Attends all interviews that require the IAC Chairperson’s presence & hiring vote

Maintains an open mind towards new legislative ideas
