Purpose
Unitrans is seeking qualified people to fill the position of Operations Assistant. The successful applicant will work closely with the Operations Manager in maintaining the smooth operations of the Unitrans system by fulfilling the listed OA duties.
The successful candidate may hold this position through expected graduation date based on satisfactory performance in the position.

Duties

- Receive, document, and respond (as necessary) to incident reports
- Assist in the creation of shifts on UNI throughout the year
- File and document daily paperwork
- Assist the OM in the creation of service guides
- Attend and assist in running mandatory meetings over the year
- Serve as a connection between the Operations Manager and other positions in the company
- Collaborate on projects that would benefit the company overall
- Collaborate to generate creative solutions to service problems
- Proofread shifts for any mistakes that may affect operations
- Attend various meetings with the OM to help provide feedback on various issues and changes
- Participate in road tests with the OM
- Other misc. operations-related tasks that may come up
Skills
- Must have current employment with Unitrans
- Prior knowledge of the Google Suite is recommended
- Ability to excercise a high degree of independent responsibility
- Ability to communicate along all lines of authority
- Ability to give and take directions
- Good organizational skills
- Must be available to assist at mandatory meetings, including (but not limited to): check in/check out, keeping track of trades, showing employees available shifts on other days, helping maintain order, and arriving early/leaving later than other employees
- Must be available to attend periodic meetings with other OA's
- Training will involve learning how to perform duties listed above
- If offered the position, applicant is required to train and work over the summer/breaks
