Purpose

Become a member of the main advocacy committee for students with disabilities at UC Davis! The Disability Rights and Advocacy Committee (DRAC) provides student recommendations to the Student Disability Center (SDC), uplifts the voice of the disabled community, and engages in outreach and de-stigmatization efforts. DRAC also works with various ASUCD units to ensure that all events are accessible for every student.

Duties

As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.

  • Committment to attend 1 committee meeting per week (Hybrid)
  • Event planning
  • Listening to input from members of the community and from student orgs

Skills

Communication, both in writing and speaking (this does not mean public speaking, just owning your own voice and using it), ability to follow direction, creative planning, social media experience, event planning, advocacy experience.
