Purpose

1. Chair the weekly Environmental Policy and Planning Commission meetings
2. Organize and coordinate all Commission activities and projects
3. Give weekly reports to the ASUCD Senate on the Commission's activities
4. Speak on all matters and proposed legislation pertinent to the Commission during weekly Senate meetings

Duties

As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.

1. Attend and chair weekly EPPC meetings on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm
2. Attend weekly ASUCD Senate meetings held each Thursday at 6:10 pm
3. Organize and coordinate the process for the interviewing of applicants for the position
4. Participate as part of the interviewing panel for other Commission interviews
5. Research proposed and pending legislation
6. Direct the Commission in researching issues that affect the Davis campus and community environment
7. Author legislation (by a majority vote of the entire commission) to be acted upon by the Senate
8. Work closely with other AS Units, especially the Campus Center for the Environment and Project Compost, R4 Recycling, and other environmental groups
9. Attend at least one other Commission meeting per quarter
10. Attend at least 2-4 office hours per week
11. Follow ASUCD Standing Rules and Government codes
12. Meet on a monthly basis with other Commission Chairs
