Purpose
The Student Advocate Office (SAO) is an executive, non-partisan office of the ASUCD. We offer free, private casework services, resources, and guidance to any student(s) navigating issues with the University, as represented by the Office of the Student Support and Judicial Affairs (OSSJA). Our goal is to ensure that each student is fully educated on campus policies regarding academic and behavioral misconduct. Our grievance division handles all other student grievances; including, but not limited to, DSP accomidations, discrimination, and non-traditional student concerns.
Duties
As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.
- Oversee the grievance division's case advisors and maintain clear direction
- Plan and excecute division training
- Act as head case advisor and provide case advising services to UCD students
- Maintain case records; keep track of case progress and ensure that clients' files are completed properly
