Purpose

Assist the IT Manager in building and maintaining web applications and the computer workstations used by Unitrans.

Duties

As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.

Help develop and add functionality to the Unitrans Web Suite, a large internal web application used to manage most of the administrative and operational tasks within the company.  Help to maintain the computers and the associated network and peripherals. This includes providing technical support to users as well as setting up and deploying new workstations.

Skills

A) Web development experience using PHP, HTML, CSS, and SQL

B) Must be able to manage Windows XP computers including:

  1. Reformatting, installing the OS and software
  2. Setting up peripherals and providing technical support

C) Experience working with Oracle, a version control system (such as Git or Subversion), and Javascript is desired but not necessary.

D) Experience working with an MVC framework (especially the Zend Framework) is desired but not necessary.

E) Experience with Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development is desired but not necessary

F) Ability to work independently without constant supervision
