Purpose

Coordinate and oversee all tasks related to Unitrans planning efforts within the University and City of Davis communities.

Duties

As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.

1. Supervise and coordinate Unitrans planning efforts (50%)
  a. Supervise and provide guidance to the Passenger Data Collectors to ensure that all required data is collected in a timely manner.
  b. Work with the Assistant General Manager, Administration to develop a quarterly schedule for short and long range department projects.
  c. Analyze and interpret data and make recommendations for service changes and route timing.
  d. Create and update planning materials such as PDC worksheets and service statistics
  e. Work with the Computer Programmer on data integration for possible AVL system installation.
  f. Attend weekly planning department meeting
2. Work with the community to develop annual service changes (25%)
  a. Update annual service plan and propose modifications as needed.
  b. Work with the Unitrans Advisory Committee to modify changes based on community input.
  c. Respond to customer complaints and comments.
3. Work with the Operations Department on service related items (15%)
  a. Work with the Operation Manager on developing an annual service plan
  b. Amend service plan as necessary and evaluate changes with the Operations department.
4. Miscellaneous tasks as necessary (10%)
  a. Maintain department supplies and records
  b. Handle Internal department concerns and maintain adequate staffing levels.
  c. Assist other departments and complete miscellaneous projects as necessary
  d. Attend weekly manager meetings

Skills

Must be able to exercise high degree of independent responsibility.
Must be highly motivated and require minimal supervision.
Must be able to communicate along all lines of authority.
Must be able to work with people in a personal and amiable manner.
Must have good computer skills and a desirable level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access
Must have a well-developed knowledge of Unitrans routes and schedules.
Must be creative and open-minded
