Purpose

Assist the Human Resources Manager in recruiting new employees, encouraging internal promotion within Unitrans, and facilitating morale building activities for employees.

Duties

As a part of ASUCD, you agree to subscribe to the ASUCD Newsletter.

A.    Develop and implement outreach and recruitment methods for new employees  (50%)
1.    Meet weekly with the HRM to discuss outreach efforts and evaluate effectiveness
2.    Identify and coordinate recruitment opportunities throughout campus
3.    Create a calendar with events and deadlines to achieve stated goals
4.    Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to promote Unitrans positions
5.    Research various methods their effectiveness 
B. Internal Recruitment (35%)
1.    Collaborate with other student managers to identify eligible employees and develop recruitment strategies for promotions
2.    Assist MM with promotion of new positions within Unitrans
3.    Assist HRM in educating employees on positions and their duties
C. Work with Personnel Assistants to plan retention events and activities for employees (15%)
1.    Meet weekly with the HRM to discuss retention efforts and evaluate effectiveness
2.    Plan at least two employee appreciation events per quarter
3.    Create a calendar with events and deadlines to achieve stated goals

  7. Must have a well-developed knowledge of current Unitrans policies, procedures, and hiring practices.
  8. Must be a creative and innovative thinker.
  9. Must be available to work Spring 2015 through Spring 2016.
  10. Must attend weekly HR department meetings.
  11. Must attend Leadership Retreat in Fall.
